Safe Water Training Sea School Ltd offer you the complete range of RYA Theory & Practical Powerboat courses in the North West region. We offer you a continuity and level of service and tuition, we feel will not be beaten.  

Based from our fully equipped centre, on the waterfront at New Brighton, you can commence your training with the basic RYA Level 1 powerboat course progressing on through the powerboat scheme. RYA Level 2 Powerboat, RYA Intermediate Powerboat, RYA Advanced Powerboat, picking up on the way if required any of the following shorebased courses. Basic Navigation & Safety Theory, SRC/VHF, RYA Basic First Aid, Diesel engine maintenance, Day Skipper Theory, Coastal Skipper Theory, GPS navigation.  

We offer you the opportunity to learn the skills of boat handling and navigation on some of the most the challenging waters in the UK.

If you have moved on from sports boats and RIBS and need training on craft up to 24m Safe Water Taining-Wales based at Pwllheli Marina, offer Motor Cruising courses from a basic Helmsman's course through to Yachtmaster Offshore the pinnacle of the RYA Cruising Power scheme. All Practical Motor Cruising courses offered on this site are offered by Safe Water Training - Wales and take place at Pwllheli, North Wales.

Get funding for your RYA awards through Get Qualified NW?

If you work or volunteer in the NW are over 19 years of age and not in full time education and you are planning to undertake one of the following courses you could receive up to £300 funding towards your course costs.  Safe Water Training Sea School Ltd delivers these courses in partnership with Manchester Metropolitan University.

NSA Funding

If you work of volunteer in the NW and are planning to undertake one of the following courses you could receive up to £300 funding towards your course costs. Anyone wanting to take advantage of the subsidy needs to submit their application as soon as possible as the funding is limited. The scheme is a North West programme run in partnership with the University of Cumbria and the National Skills Academy.
