RYA VHF/SRC Radio - Short Range Certificate

Make no mistake the VHF Radio is the most important piece of safety equipment you will ever purchase for your craft, it is essential that you know how to operate it, and that you conform to the legal requirements for its use on your boat.

The one-day course will equip you for all situations including the use of the latest Digital Selective Calling DSC radio equipment. You will use the latest Icom and Simrad live VHF radio voice training equipment giving you the benefit of "hands-on" tuition. We offer a high quality friendly course using the best of equipment. Candidates receive 6 hours tuition as recommended by the RYA and the oportunity to practice radio procedures and techniques on our live Icom M601 VHF radios and Simrad RD68 VHF Radios.
