RYA Yachtmaster Shorebased Theory

5 Days or 3 Weekends Course

This is an advanced course in navigation, signals and meteorology for students studying the DOT Coastal Skipper and Yachtmaster's Certificate. The syllabus makes some provision for revision of subjects studied on the Day Skipper course, but those who have not gained the knowledge set out in the basic course are unlikely to be able to assimilate all the subjects covered in the advanced course. A prior knowledge up to Day Skipper standard is assumed.

THIS IS NOT A COURSE FOR BEGINNERS

The aim of this course is to teach candidates to be proficient navigators so they may navigate a vessel in a safe and seaman-like manner on coastal or offshore passages by day or night.
