Yachtmaster Preparation

The RYA Yachtmaster Exam is the benchmark standard by which other nations set their standards, and many Yachtsmen aspire to this standard as either a personal goal, or as a means to go on and work commercially.

Aim: To teach the skills and techniques required to skipper a motor boat safely on coastal and offshore passages by day and night.

Experience required: 50 Days, 2500 Miles, 5 Passages over 60 miles with 2 as skipper, SRC, First Aid.

The course: A 5 day preparation course during which our instructor will put you through your paces offering guidance and advice on the standards expected during the the RYA / MCA exam.

Duration: 5 days + 1 day for RYA / DOT Yachtmaster exam if required (extra fee)

Cruising area: The cruising area for this course is Northwest England , Wales , Scotland and Ireland

RYA / MCA: The RYA. / DoT Coastal Skipper exam may be taken after this course (subject to satisfactory completion), should you require this certificate, please let the Principal know in advance as.
