RYA Practical Helmsman Motor Course

This 2 day course provides an introduction to handling a motor cruiser.

Course aim:The aim of the course is that you will be competent to handle a motor cruiser in sheltered waters.

Experience required: None.

The course: The course content includes boat safety, helmsmanship, boat handling, and an introduction to engine maintenance. During the course you will learn to understand the use and control of the two engines, basic berthing and unberthing, general boat handling, steering, local regulations, securing to a mooring buoy and anchoring.

Duration: 2 days.

Cruising area: Liverpool Marina and Liverpool Bay .
